Talk Lipoedema Awarded Government Grant

We are delighted to announce that Talk Lipoedema has been awarded a grant of £46,950 from the Self-management Fund.

This fund is administered by the Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland (the Alliance) and is one of 24 new projects receiving self-management funding from October 2022.

Talk Lipoedema will use this funding to develop a peer support programme for people living with lipoedema. The project will be designed and led by people with lipoedema, with input from professional experts. As part of this innovative project we will commence a training programme for peer supporters, and develop new resources for our website. Being awarded this funding shows that people living with lipoedema are being recognised. It enables Talk Lipoedema to continue to grow in unique and exciting ways to support people affected by lipoedema, while working alongside NHS and other colleagues to ensure lipoedema is better understood.
